Dear Mr. Smith,

Please accept the attached resume in application for the position of an entry level Industrial Engineer as advertised on monster.can.

I have recently graduated from Universidad Rafael Bellosos Chacin (URBE) and am eager to obtain a position from which I will gain valuable experience in the industry.

I appreciate that I have no full time experience in the engineering field, however over the previous two summers I worked for a firm in Maracaibo that manufactured circuit breakers where I assisted the engineering function with general duties and from which I gained an appreciation of what the job entails.

I feel that as an ambitious and highly motivated individual I can learn a lot at your company and be successful there. I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to consider my resume. I will contact you early next week to arrange an appointment to meet you at a time convenient for you.

Thank you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Alirio Rincón.

Congressional Space Medal of Honor.
Before becoming an astronaut, Armstrong was in the

Unit 2. USING ONLINE DICTIONARIES.

HELLO IN THIS OPORTUNITY I FOUND AN ARTICLE ABOUT A TURNING PROCESS..THIS IS ABOUT MY CAREER.
Turning: Engine Lathe

Turning is another of the basic machining processes. Information in this section is organized according to the subcategory links in the menu bar to the left. Turning produces solids of revolution which can be tightly toleranced because of the specialized nature of the operation.

Turning is performed on a machine called a lathe in which the tool is stationary and the part is rotated. The figure below illustrates an engine lathe. Lathes are designed solely for turning operations, so that precise control of the cutting results in tight tolerances. The work piece is mounted on the chuck
, which rotates relative to the stationary tool.

Turning refers to cutting as shown
below.
The term "facing" is used to describe removal of material from the flat end of a cylindrical part, as shown below. Facing is often used to improve the finish of surfaces that have been parted.

Sentences:

-The figure below illustrates an engine lathe.
-Turning refers to cutting as shown below.
-Facing is often used to improve the finish of surfaces that have been parted.

Describing the parts of the words in each sentences:

1) The: definite article. Figure: noun. Below: preposition. Illustrates: verb. An: indefinite article. Engine: noun. Lathe: noun.

2) Turning: noun. Refers: verb. To: preposition. Cutting: noun. As: adverb. Shown: verb. Below: preposition.

3) Facing: noun. Is: verb. Often: adverb. To: preposition. Improve: verb. The: definite article. Finish: noun. Of: Preposition. Surfaces: noun. That: pronoun. Have: verb.
Been: verb. Parted: verb.
Now I Select three words and find their definitions in an online dictionarie.
Lathe: Meaning:
A machine in which a piece of wood or metal is held and turned while being shaped by a sharp tool.

Surfaces:
Meaning:
1 An outside part or layer of something. Example: ▪ The painting's surface is covered with fine cracks.
2 The upper layer of an area of land or water usually singular. Example: ▪ Hot lava bubbled up to the Earth's surface.
3 The flat, top part of something (such as a table or desk) that you can work on Example: ▪ kitchen work surfaces.
4 The surface : the part of someone or something that is easy to see or notice : the outer quality or appearance of someone or something that may not show true or hidden problems, feelings, etc. Example: ▪ On the surface the plan seems simple.
5 A flat or curved side of an object. Example: ▪ Each surface of the die is marked with one to six black dots.
Antonyms of Surfaces: core, inside, interior, middle.

Parted:
1 a: divided into parts.
b: Cleft so that the divisions reach nearly but not quite to the base —usually used in combination.
1 : to separate into two or more parts that move away from each other. Example: ▪ The crowd parted to let the president through.
2 To separate (the hair on a person's head) into two parts on each side of a line by using a comb. Example: ▪ She parts her hair on the side.
